Namrin in Singapore for the 1st time

Hello all.

As I told you, I had a business trip to Singapore a month later from Egypt trip. So I have some photos as a souvenir as promised. For my friends who have never heard about this trip before, just pretend that I've told you, okay? lol

Well, it's little embarrassed when I told people that I've never been to Singapore before. In my office esp. my division, almost everyone has been there either for a trip or a business. Most of time, I went too far away from ASEAN countries I guess but now it's time to wander around. This year I plan to travel as often as possible in Thailand and next year, a few trips to my neighbouring countries will be set. I will probably mention the trips later on and if any of you are interested in, feel free to join me:-)

In Singapore, I had a meeting for the first 2 days related to regional hub topic. What has been done, what will be done, questions from different countries so and so. The hotel we stayed was the same place as we held the meeting so we didn't go anywhere during the first 2 days except crossing the world-famous Orchard Road to have dinner all together.

At the end of the second day, I met my Singaporean friends whom I met in Sydney. They used to be my friend's friend and my neighbours. (After my friend introduced them to me, we found out that our places were opposite to each other--what a coincidence!). They got a baby girl, Kirsten, a year later they were back from Sydney and when I visited, they were having the second baby girl. I was very glad to meet them and they are very kind hosts. I had a day tour partly with them and partly on my own.

About the photos, now they go backward again. Pls click backward if you check the photo one by one. I think Photobucket improved sth on its site. However, what I request the most is the button to re-arrange the photos in an album. I couldn't find it so I assume they don't have it. Shame! I have already described each photo on its title and its description box. So you can find out what was going on from each photo.

A few things to talk about Singapore are, firstly, I was impressed with this country. Somehow, I feel familiar with this city before I realised it reminded of Sydney. I even told my friends that the first time they went to Sydney, they would probably feel like home, "hahaha", they laughed as an answer?!?. What I like about Singapore is neither their shopping malls nor their human-made sightseeings but those gigantic trees they have. In Bangkok (BKK), we do have trees but they're not the same size as they're in Singapore. For this reason, I feel that Singapore is more environmental friendly than Thailand.

Second thing is, well, accept it. Singapore is not a country for common travellers. As the size is small, perhaps not many things can fit in. The country is more famous for human-made sightseeings such as Merlion Park, Sentosa Islands, Underwaterworld, Singapore Zoo, Bird Park and Night Safari (i didn't visit the last 4 places). However, I enjoyed my day, and thanks Christina and Kelvin so much for their hospitality. If I have another chance which I think I will, I'll visit the rest :-)

Coming up next! Music is an international language.
