Rockaholic Party

This is the company New Year's party. On 27th Feb? It's quite late I know but that's the way we do.

Yeah! I won the lucky draw! Not the first prize this time but at least I won sth. And that thing is....I don't remember, haha. I think I won DVD player but my workmate said I won a gift voucher of value 1500 baht. Are we in the same party? LOL The prize can be picked up at HR department on Monday so I'll let you know again just in case you wonder...don't you?

I was assigned to perform a dance of "Single Ladies" Yes I am single! But that's not reason why I was picked up. For the dance, don't talk about synchronisation. We had about 7 working days to practise and I think what we did was close to a miracle. The song is very fast with no repetitive movement!!! Anyway, in my opinion, the performance went fairly well. People were really surprised to see our dance (like the 2nd Beyonce'). They screamed and whistled and they even screamed more when they saw the surprise during the show. I have just uploaded the video into the links at the bottom of this writing. Hopefully this is the way to entertain you in more practical way:-D Anyway, pls be patient when it's downloading.

Not easy to be pretty!

I often say this phrase to my friends "It's not easy to be pretty" and I'm not talking about myself but for most of girls. The more you have to take care of yourself, the more burden you have. However, some people love to have this burden and I have a few friends who call themselves as beauty gurus or beauty experts. I have to say I find their information is interesting and sometimes amazed me but I'm not a kind of girl who always enjoys girly conversation. I don't know what made me so but that's me. lol

These photos are about 2 weeks after the hair testing. I have to mention it is fashionable colour so it is supposed to be permanent colour on your head and so, some of our friends' heads are changed...including mine! My blue fringe turned to grey. The lesson from this story is that try to stick with your natural hair colour is the best hahaha!

For my friend who picked orange, it works and lasts longer than the others. Lesson #1 Orange and red stay longer with Asian hair (Brown/Black hair colour)




Lesson #2, if you're not happy with the result, you dyed your hair to your natural colour! lol

Lesson #3 Pink doesn't well at all...it finally turns blonde or the become the colour of your hair after you bleached (like mine)


Lesson #4 When the fasionable colour is not obvious, you can actually live with it. It doesn't hurt your look. You just only feel that you pay for nothing (not outstanding change). But this is test so it's free lol.

Lesson #4, think twice if you are a guy and you want to die your hair to deep blue. The colour will run out after 5 washes or so and then, your hair become grey....like they are real grey hair!! Oh no!!

Lesson #5, when you are not happy with your pink, you can change it to blue or red or whatever but the result are lesson #1-4, hehe!

I think I have to be as prolific as possible during this time. I'm thinking about posting my emails I used to send to some friends in the past on here! Probably one story or even 2 per day. Now for those who missed to catch up with me, you will get the idea now what I have been up to.

I'm not sure whether I have kept any of my writing in 2004-2006 if I have, I will post them too. And if you still have those emails, pls feel free to forward to me. You know my email address.

It's not that Valentine's Day is coming so I'm groaning about myself being single. It would be nice to be with someone but there's an advantage to be on your own too. And I always feel somehow I will be brought to good thing and good people at the end.

Here, there's a message hidden in the title. Someone at work told me to watch this music video and she asked me to do something for some people. I will have to keep you doubt/guess it until the time comes....but I'm afraid I never want it to come! LOL

I've got Work and Holiday Visa

I think it is time to speak about this. I've received the email from Australian visa centre on Thu 5th Feb which the email was sent on Tue 3rd that I've been granted a Work and Holiday Visa to Australia. I almost cried, to be honest. I was extremely delighted. I wanted to text to a few friends but it was late in Australia. However, I decided to text to one friend whom should know the most in my opinion. It was 1AM there. I hope it didn't bother you :-^ I'm sorry if I did. Then, I left messages to a few closed friends both Thai and non-Thai friends. I think I should call my mum but I thought I'd better wait to tell her in a person. It was 9PM-ish. She was coming home soon.

Next, I called one of my workmates about this news because we work in the same functions and division even though it's different brand, I think she is supposed to know as a friend. She had no clue and pretty shocked. However, she wished me luck. I hoped to tell my manager next day. (Friday)

I informed my senior manager while my direct superior left to home early. Perhaps it's not exactly appropriate but I think I had to tell senior manager ASAP because my absence will affect our logistics team so much as we are moving to a new role of working. I wish they can find someone very soon. My resignation would be effective on 30th April (if I don't change my mind) but in the last 2 weeks I will take my dayoffs so it's only about 2 and half months to go. Still a lot of things I have to sort out and do before my departure both for work and for personal life. It's not very long but for me, it is long enough to wait for my flight, probably on 1st May to Sydney!

My new adventure is about to begin!

P.S. I haven't had time to pick up the document yet! Will do this week!

Look at me!

I have to say that around now I have observed that many more people look at my face when I walk by. They are stunned at my beauty! :#)

I was blushed a bit when people stared at me. Ultimately I have a clue when I pass by my workmates. The first thing they talk to me is about my hair colours. Then, I realised why other people have stared at me around now. They are stunned at my vivid hair colours. I'm not familiar with this reaction from other people but I will soon get used to being centre of attention. LOL Plus, this means the test result is roaring successful, hahaha!

But like I often say "It's not easy to be pretty" I will tell you why! Pls stay tune!

I did 42 floors of walking!

I walked up and down equally to 42 floors!! Wow! I wish! I didn't do it even a step because I was tied up with work because my GM told me to have a meeting with her, my senior manager and my manager about the project I'm handling. Unfortunately, we didn't make it. There were a few ppl got into her room so my meeting was postponed from 3PM to 6.30PM and then, she had another guest who made an appointment with her so at about 7PM, my senior manager came to me and tell me that I could go home if I want to because the GM has to go home early. What can I say? Apart from "OK".

However, I couldn't go home straight away because apart from the project I also have my routine which is heavy loaded one waiting for me. I left work at 11PM.

Walking 14 floors up and down

It's not that we have a fire alarm so I have to walk down the ground floor for 14 floors. LOL! I work on 8th floor only....so you need a better guess :-D

In the morning, I got an idea that after lunch, I will take a walk to make my health more healthy! And stretch my legs and all that. I nearly die at the office desk! Where should it be convenient and cheap? There's no park around my office building so I think the best place is the parking lot! It is 7-story parking lot and the ramp is not steep so it is a good location. At noon, I did it twice- up and down! So I made a 14-floor full walk today. Hardly not sweated! I will try a 21-floor walk tomorrow!

Today is the first day in....many months I had sth closed to the word, exercise. Cheers for it :-)
